Film Project - A Slice of Time
Film photography captures actual moments in time on a physical medium that cannot be replicated. Each photograph is a unique slice of time where light chemically interacted with silver halides to create an irreversible record. Unlike digital images that exist as copyable data, film photographs are singular artifacts. The grain, color, and tonal qualities are determined by the exact conditions of that moment—the light, film stock, temperature, and technique. When you hold a film photograph, you're holding the actual substance present when that moment occurred. This tangible connection makes each frame precious and unrepeatable, imbuing film photography with an authenticity that digital images cannot match. The chemical process locks that slice of time into the emulsion forever, creating not just a visual record but a physical witness to a moment that will never exist again.
